Food waste is a critical issue, with 40% of food going to waste while 1 in 7 people goes hungry. Food rescue heroes play a vital role in combating this challenge.

By dedicating as little as 30 minutes of your time, you can prevent perfectly good food from being wasted and instead deliver it to nonprofits that assist those experiencing food insecurity.

Utilize your social media accounts to register as a food rescue hero.

Set your preferences for when and where you can conduct food rescues.

Receive alerts when rescue opportunities arise. Choose to participate in rescues that align with your schedule, whether it's daily, weekly, or just for a trial period.

As a food rescue hero, you will receive detailed instructions on where to collect the food and where to deliver it. Guidance is provided at every step of the process.

The app provides information about the nonprofit organization you are delivering to. By directly dropping off food at the distribution center, you witness the direct impact of your actions on alleviating hunger.

Capture a selfie during your rescue mission and share it on social media to raise awareness about Hunger Network Food Rescue, encouraging your friends to join as food rescue heroes.
